The music and song structure themselves support some of the themes found in the song. The main driving force behind the song is a repetitious melody consisting of a guitar, keyboard and bass. The song structure itself doesnt change much but slowly builds. This could represent the repetitious nature of life. The song builds but never reaches a full climax and more withers out than goes out with a bang. This acts as a metaphor for death and old age.
